During the discussion, the minister emphasized that significant changes are occurring in Kyrgyz school education aimed at updating curricula, integrating into the international educational space, and implementing new initiatives. New education standards and legal acts have been adopted, and in the future, the focus will be on developing teachers' professional skills.

Ambassador Duflo also noted that the transition to 12-year education is a long-term investment in the future of children. He added that the presence of some resistance to reforms is a natural process that indicates real changes.

Additionally, the ambassador highlighted the importance of creating working groups as an effective method of cooperation and expressed the European Union's readiness to continue supporting educational reforms in Kyrgyzstan through the Twinning program.

The parties also discussed the implementation of the project "Contract for the Reform of the Education Sector of the Kyrgyz Republic".

As a result of the meeting, a decision was made to establish a joint working group that will develop teaching materials for foreign languages for students and educators. The participants agreed to continue the dialogue and consider new ideas after the completion of current projects.
