The Head of the Kyrgyz Republic invited the Russian team to participate in the World Nomad Games
Today, February 25, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, met with Mikhail Shvydkoy, the Special Representative of the President of Russia for International Cultural Cooperation.

The agenda included the topic of further development of Kyrgyz-Russian relations in the field of culture and humanitarian cooperation.

Sadyr Japarov noted that culture is an important element for strengthening intergovernmental dialogue and mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries.

The head of state recalled with satisfaction the Days of Russian Culture that took place in Kyrgyzstan in 2025 and expressed hope that the opening of the Kyrgyz House of Science and Culture in Moscow, planned for the near future, would contribute to deepening cultural ties.

The President also announced that this year the sixth World Nomad Games will be held in Kyrgyzstan and invited the Russian team to actively participate in this significant event.

One of the key topics of the meeting was the direction of digitalization in the cultural sphere. In this context, special attention was given to the legacy of Chyngyz Aitmatov, who has become a symbol of spiritual unity between the cultures of both countries.

Mikhail Shvydkoy conveyed greetings and best wishes from Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation.

He also noted that Kyrgyzstan is a homeland for him, and he is closely watching its development, which demonstrates high rates of economic growth due to stability and thoughtful planning.

Shvydkoy emphasized that 2028 will be significant as it marks the centenary of Chyngyz Aitmatov's birth and the bicentennial of Leo Tolstoy. He proposed to jointly celebrate these events by creating an organizational committee with the participation of the deputy prime ministers of both countries.

At the conclusion of the meeting, President Sadyr Japarov and Mikhail Shvydkoy confirmed their interest in strengthening cooperation and expressed confidence that joint efforts in the field of culture and humanitarian exchange would contribute to the further development of bilateral relations.
