In his statement posted on social media, the diplomat emphasized that the embassy maintains constant contact with students, pilgrims, and Kyrgyz citizens temporarily residing in Saudi Arabia.
Maripov added that, with the support of the Muftiate, the National Agency for Religious Affairs, and the Kyrgyz community, operational headquarters have been established. These groups are intended to coordinate assistance for pilgrims and ensure their safety.
Additionally, the ambassador reported on the following situations:
- airports in Saudi Arabia continue to operate in a relatively stable mode;
- domestic flights are being carried out without interruptions;
- some international airlines have reduced the number of flights, however, departures of Saudi Airlines continue according to the established schedule;
- there is constant communication with citizens in neighboring Bahrain — 35 people have sought assistance.
“We are monitoring the situation almost in real-time. In case of changes in the situation and the emergence of threats, we will promptly inform our citizens and take necessary measures. May the Almighty grant peace, and may there be no wars anywhere,” the ambassador stated.
