At the meeting of the parliamentary committee on finance, budget, entrepreneurship, and competition development, member of the Jogorku Kenesh Ismanali Joroev expressed his concern about the barriers faced by Kyrgyz producers when exporting goods to EAEU countries.

He noted that, despite the absence of obstacles for imports into Kyrgyzstan, exports encounter various difficulties. As an example, the deputy pointed to the significant queues of heavy trucks at the border with Kazakhstan.

Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Sultan Akhmatov explained that delays in transit occur due to internal problems in Russia and Kazakhstan, creating challenges for Kyrgyz exporters.

According to him, Kyrgyzstan is ready to defend its interests if violations of established requirements and procedures within the EAEU are identified. "In that case, we will prepare letters and send them to the Eurasian Economic Commission," he added.

The meeting also discusses a draft protocol that amends the agreement concerning the specifics of criminal and administrative liability for violations of the customs legislation of the Customs Union.
