
Chingiz Bapaev has become the new akim of the Karasuu district of the Osh region, according to a statement from the president's press service.
This specialist was born on October 4, 1984, in Przhevalsk, now known as Karakol, in the Issyk-Kul region.
He holds a higher education degree in economics, obtained from the Issyk-Kul State University, which he graduated from in 2006 with a major in "finance and credit".
Chingiz Bapaev's career spans numerous positions in state and municipal structures:
- 2007-2010 — worked in various roles at the Issyk-Kul Territorial Administration of the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund (MHIF);
- from 2010 to 2021 — served in the Karakol city administration, starting as a leading specialist and ending as the head of the apparatus;
- from 2021 to 2023 — held the position of akim of the Ak-Suu district in the Issyk-Kul region;
- in 2023-2024 — was the mayor of Karakol;
- from January 18, 2024, by the order of President Sadyr Japarov, appointed head of the state administration (akim) of the Alay district as part of a personnel rotation.
In 2021, he also ran for the city council of Karakol from the "Birge-Vmeste" party. He currently holds the class rank of 1st class municipal service advisor.
