
Among the guests were accredited ambassadors in Bishkek from countries such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Hungary, Turkey, and Pakistan, as well as representatives of Kyrgyz society, science, culture, and the Azerbaijani diaspora.
Latif Gandiyev, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan, noted that this year the celebration of Orozo Ayt coincides with Novruz. According to him, Orozo Ayt is an important holiday that comes after the holy month of Ramadan, while Novruz symbolizes a rich spiritual heritage and the connection between generations. "When these two significant holidays coincide, it speaks of joy and unity," he added.
In the ambassador's opinion, these holidays symbolize peace and kindness, are filled with joy, and remind us of the importance of solidarity. Gandiyev congratulated everyone on the holiday and expressed wishes for health, good fortune, happiness, and well-being, emphasizing that Orozo Ayt and Novruz have contributed to strengthening friendship and respect between nations.
This sentiment was also supported by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Meder Abakirov, who noted that the relations between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan are based on common cultural values and mutual respect. Abakirov emphasized the importance of further developing strategic partnerships and active political dialogue.
The attendees were pleasantly surprised when the dean of the diplomatic corps in Kyrgyzstan, Ambassador of Tajikistan Nazirmad Alizoda, accurately named the time of Novruz's arrival in Kyrgyzstan – March 20 at 20:46 according to the solar calendar. He noted that this holiday, with ancient roots and described in the "Avesta," brings together people of various nationalities and religions.
The ceremonial reception took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, leaving positive impressions on the guests. They expressed gratitude to the organizers for the generous hospitality, including the famous Azerbaijani shah-plov and lyulya-kebab.
The ambassador also introduced the mineral water "Istisu," which is now available in Kyrgyzstan. Latif Gandiyev spoke about the resumption of production of this water in the Kalbajar region, highlighting its healing properties and popularity in Azerbaijan and beyond. All attendees were able to appreciate its taste.
The reception organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan became not only a celebration for compatriots but also for representatives of other nationalities celebrating these significant events. The music and melodies played during the evening emphasized the unity and friendship between nations.
