The meeting, which took place on March 26, was organized to discuss issues related to bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Russia. According to the press service of the Jogorku Kenesh, both sides expressed their intention to develop inter-parliamentary dialogue and seek new ways of cooperation.

Matviyenko noted that the choice of Russia for the speaker's first foreign trip emphasizes the importance of allied relations. During the dialogue, there was also an emphasis on economic issues, such as the need to harmonize legislation and create favorable conditions for business. In particular, the growth of trade turnover to 5 billion dollars and the expansion of cooperation in areas such as energy, agriculture, transport, and tourism were discussed.

In turn, Mamataliyev confirmed Kyrgyzstan's commitment to strengthening strategic partnership, proposing to more actively involve parliamentary committees and international platforms in the cooperation process.

Mamataliyev also noted the increase in the representation of women in parliament, where currently 31 out of 90 deputies are women, which became a separate topic for discussion. In addition, issues of labor migration were addressed during the meeting. The speaker outlined the problems faced by Kyrgyz citizens in Russia and proposed solutions, considering the allied relations between the two countries, as reported by the press service of the Jogorku Kenesh.
