The keys to 81 vehicles were handed over to the Ministry of Defense

Adylbek Kasymaliev, head of the cabinet of ministers, witnessed the handover of 81 vehicles to the Ministry of Defense. These vehicles were purchased with state budget funds and are aimed at improving the mobility and equipment of military units, as reported by the government press service.

In his speech, congratulating the military on behalf of the president and the government, Kasymaliev emphasized that part of the supplied equipment was produced in Kyrgyzstan: 19 JAC T-6 vehicles and 36 Chevrolets were assembled at the Tulpar Motors plant. He noted that a modern army must combine traditions and the latest technologies, and that soldiers serve with high responsibility and honor.

The head of the cabinet of ministers also highlighted that the country's defense capability has significantly increased in recent years. The budget for the Armed Forces has grown by more than 300% compared to 2018-2019. These funds are directed towards modernizing the material and technical base, purchasing modern weapons and specialized equipment, as well as developing the infrastructure of military units and garrisons. New air defense systems and electronic warfare systems have been introduced into the army.

Kasymaliev also reported on the results of digitalization in the Ministry of Defense, emphasizing that the first stage has already been completed. The processes of document flow, accounting of military personnel, and military registration have been optimized. The electronic system is already operational in five military registration offices, and its implementation in another 25 is planned by the end of March. The process of digitizing military IDs has begun.

In addition, the minister announced social support measures for military personnel. The housing rent compensation has been increased to 500 soms in Bishkek and to 420 soms in the regions. Each military personnel is provided with a monthly compensation for mortgage loans: 18,000 soms in the capital and 15,000 in the regions. Those who have served for more than 20 years will receive state support until the full repayment of their mortgage loan, and housing can be purchased in any region convenient for them. In the near future, the Ministry of Defense will allocate more than 900 apartments through the State Mortgage Company.
