During the visit, the official familiarized himself with the process of serving citizens and assessed compliance with safety standards.
Tumanbaev highlighted a pressing issue: old driver's licenses contain photographs of citizens taken 20-30 years ago. This creates difficulties for identity verification and increases security risks. Moreover, such documents have a low level of protection and can be easily forged.
It was specifically emphasized that outdated driver's licenses from Kyrgyzstan are not recognized as legal in many countries. In this regard, the need for strict control and a transition to documents that meet international standards was outlined.
The center's management was instructed to implement digitization, expand electronic services, and completely update data.
According to official data, as part of the campaign to replace old-style licenses, from January 15 to 21, the following applications were submitted:
- 46,431 applications online;
- 32,528 applications in offline format.
The total number of accepted applications amounted to 78,959, indicating a high level of interest from citizens in this procedure.
Following the inspection, the need to enhance discipline in the provision of public services, improve safety levels, and consistently implement digital solutions was noted.
