A new measure is being introduced in Uzbekistan to protect citizens who report corruption offenses. This is reported by podrobno.uz.
According to the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev regarding the system for combating corruption in the country, the Anti-Corruption Agency will be empowered to issue protection orders to those who report corruption. This is done to ensure the protection of such citizens from possible persecution and pressure during their work.
In addition, in order to encourage active citizens participating in the fight against corruption, a badge "For Contribution to the Fight Against Corruption" will be established.
