- Social stores are not intended for wholesale purchases and operate solely to directly serve citizens. Muratbek Imankulov, Deputy Chairman of the Antimonopoly Service under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, shared this information on the air of a radio station.

He explained that such stores are not meant for purchasing goods for subsequent resale, and they keep track of customers while working directly with the population.

Imankulov also noted that a limited quantity of products is sold to each customer in these stores.

“In social stores, it is not allowed to sell more than 10 kilograms of goods to one buyer. If stocks begin to run low, this norm may be reduced, for example, to 5 kilograms. However, more than 10 kilograms will not be sold to one client,” the deputy chairman clarified.

Additionally, he noted that information about the situation in the "Zarya" area in Bishkek will be thoroughly checked.

“After today’s meeting, I intend to hold a meeting and issue specific instructions to strengthen control. If such problems really exist, we will take the necessary measures together with our colleagues,” Imankulov added.

According to him, the Antimonopoly Service, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and local authorities, will consider the possibility of creating additional social trading points.
