On January 22, the first meeting of the deputy foreign ministers of the Central Asian countries and Russia took place in Moscow, with the participation of the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Almaz Imangaziev.

This meeting was initiated by Russia to discuss the plan for joint actions for 2025-2027, which was approved at the second "Central Asia - Russia" summit in Dushanbe on October 9, 2025. The participants of the negotiations also included deputies from federal ministries and departments of Russia.

During the discussions, Imangaziev emphasized Kyrgyzstan's commitment to strengthening cooperation within the "Central Asia - Russia" format, highlighting the importance of ensuring regional security, developing trade and economic ties, investments, as well as transport connectivity and cultural-humanitarian exchanges.

In addition, Imangaziev held a separate meeting with a representative of the migration service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, where issues related to the entry, stay, and employment of Kyrgyz citizens in Russia were discussed. The difficulties faced by citizens included in the registry of controlled persons were addressed, particularly regarding the lack of a clear mechanism for removal from this registry. In this regard, a request was made for the need to legally establish the procedure for removal without leaving the country.

Also, in the context of implementing a pilot project for the digital migration accounting of labor migrants in Moscow and the region through the "Amina" application, the importance of its implementation in other major cities of Russia was emphasized.
