Tajikistan Takes Over the Chairmanship of the CIS Aviation Council from Russia

- From January 1, 2026, Tajikistan will take the chair of the Council on Aviation and Airspace of the CIS countries. This information was announced by the Executive Committee of the CIS, citing the Interstate Aviation Committee.

Tajikistan received this right from Russia, which held the chairmanship from 2023 to 2025.

The Republic will lead the Council on Aviation and Airspace for three years.

As explained by the IAC, "the chairmanship of the Russian Federation ended in 2025, and now Tajikistan takes the baton for the next three years."

According to the established procedure, starting from January 1, 2026, the organization will be headed by the Director of the Civil Aviation Agency of Tajikistan, Habibullo Nazarzoda.
