- During his speech, Kulumbetov noted that the results of studies from 2011-2012 clearly indicate the need for more rational use of electricity, regardless of its cost. "Considering that the available resources may not be sufficient, this has become evident," he emphasized.

Currently, Kyrgyzstan produces approximately 15 billion kWh of electricity.

“The decrease in water levels at hydroelectric power stations may lead to an energy shortage. This year, we will have to purchase almost 5 billion kWh from other countries. However, studies show that overall there is enough electricity, and the deficit is only observed on certain days, especially in winter,” the expert added.

Kulumbetov also noted that the growing consumption of electricity is linked to its not-so-rational use, which underscores the importance of fostering a culture of energy conservation among the population.
