A working meeting took place at the mayor's office of the capital of Kyrgyzstan, involving the Belarusian side, dedicated to issues of ecology and the disposal of solid household waste. The videoconference was initiated by Belarus and was covered by the press service of the Bishkek mayor's office.

Vice Mayor of Bishkek Ramiz Aliyev, Belarusian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Sergey Molunov, as well as the Ministers of Housing and Communal Services and Natural Resources of Belarus, Gennady Trubilo and Sergey Maslyak, respectively, participated in this meeting.

Ramiz Aliyev noted that ecological projects are being successfully implemented in Bishkek, including with the help of Chinese partners. One such project is the eco-technological plant at the Bishkek sanitary landfill, which generates electricity from solid household waste. The mayor's office emphasized that this plant is the first in Central Asia and has no analogs in the region.

During the meeting, the possibility of installing sorting lines with the help of Belarusian specialists was also discussed. It was reported that a modern line for waste sorting had been acquired for the waste sorting program, allowing for preliminary sorting of waste before it is sent for recycling. This will create conditions for the production of urban improvement elements from secondary materials in the future.

At the end of the meeting, the deputy mayor invited Belarusian colleagues to visit Bishkek to familiarize themselves with the operation of the eco-technological plant and to continue discussions on possible areas of cooperation.
