According to Seitkazieva, there are daily fires at the solid waste landfill in the rural municipality of Jeek during the summer. Even with the arrival of 4-5 fire trucks from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, it is not possible to completely extinguish the fire hotspots.
She noted that the smoke emanating from the landfill spreads over a distance of 20-25 km, affecting neighboring villages and reaching the city of Kant.
The deputy called for support in the construction of a waste sorting plant in close proximity to the landfill.
