The Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Nurlanbek Turghunbek uulu, along with members of the "Ata-Jurt" parliamentary group, visited the city of Kara-Balta.

According to the press service of the parliament, the delegation examined the building of school No. 5, which was privatized in 2011 and returned to state ownership in 2018.

Built in the 1950s, this building is now in a severely dilapidated state and is essentially abandoned. In this regard, local authorities proposed to transform the territory of the old school into a kindergarten, as well as to build a new educational institution next to school No. 7, which is located nearby, to address the issue of overcrowding in educational facilities.

According to housing data, there is a serious problem with kindergartens in Kara-Balta, with about 1200 children waiting for admission. In some schools, classes are held in three shifts.

Nurlanbek Turghunbek uulu instructed the Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services to develop projects for the new kindergarten and school.

During the visit, the delegation also visited school No. 7. The director of this educational institution reported that more than 1500 students are currently enrolled here, and classes are conducted in three shifts. Educators noted that the construction of a new building would not only help solve the problem of overcrowding but also improve the quality of education.

Turghunbek uulu reviewed the project for the new building and strongly urged the ministry to expedite the funding process.

He added that to eliminate delays in construction and improve quality, the issue of conducting tenders would be canceled.

"The relevant agency must change its approaches and strive for the rapid construction of social facilities. It is necessary to abandon outdated methods and adapt to modern requirements, as the issues of price and quality remain relevant," emphasized the speaker of the parliament.

He also urged local authorities to work more actively. "In recent years, the focus has been on the development of cities in the regions, and Kara-Balta has been allocated 1 billion soms. Therefore, it is important to effectively utilize state support to address social and infrastructure challenges," added Turghunbek uulu.
