As part of the forum dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Japanese Grant Scholarship Program for Human Resource Development (JDS) in Kyrgyzstan, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, emphasized the significance of this program.

According to the press service of the Cabinet, over the past two decades, more than 300 Kyrgyz citizens have received education at renowned Japanese universities such as Ritsumeikan, Meiji, Tsukuba, Hiroshima, and the Japan International University. The training covered various fields, including public administration, economic policy, information technology, and international relations. Kasymaliev highlighted that many graduates hold key positions in government structures, international organizations, and research institutions.

The head of the Cabinet expressed the intention to further develop the program, noting the similarities between Japan's economic experience and Kyrgyzstan's aspirations. He reported that GDP growth in the country is projected to reach 11.1% by 2025, with an average annual real growth of 10.2% over the past four years. "We are striving for an economic miracle that we call the 'Snow Leopard Leap'," he added.

Kasymaliev also emphasized the Japanese model, which combines state planning with business interests, as an example that Kyrgyzstan aims to adopt. He expressed gratitude to the Embassy of Japan, as well as to the organizations JICA and JICE for their invaluable support of the program.
