New restrictions introduced by the U.S. concern foreign aid and prohibit funding for programs related to equality, inclusion, and diversity (DEI), as well as family planning initiatives and "gender ideology." This information was reported by Reuters.

The U.S. State Department has ordered a review of current aid programs by all American diplomatic missions to ensure their compliance with the new rules.

The bans will take effect on February 26, and the total amount of affected funding is approximately $30 billion.

These restrictions apply to both foreign NGOs and organizations registered in the U.S. It is important to note that foreign non-governmental organizations cannot use funds from foreign donors if their goals align with those areas that the U.S. administration considers "radical ideologies."

Secretary of State Marco Rubio pointed to the possibility of specific exceptions, emphasizing that the new measures should not negatively impact "life-saving programs, disaster response, and other critically important initiatives."

It is worth reminding that one of the first decrees by Donald Trump after taking office was the termination of programs aimed at supporting social and gender groups across all federal agencies. The administration claimed that such initiatives promote "positive discrimination," where racial and gender characteristics are considered in hiring or resource allocation instead of professional qualities.

Later, the Government Accountability Office began terminating contracts related to such programs in the fields of education and healthcare. As a result, several American companies announced their refusal to adhere to these principles in hiring employees.
