The main goals of introducing licensing are:
- to organize work in the field of passenger transportation;
- to increase road safety;
- to protect the lives and health of citizens;
- to reduce the number of accidents;
- to eliminate the operation of vehicles that have not passed technical inspection;
- to control the working hours of drivers.
Considering numerous requests from citizens, the deadline for obtaining a license has been extended to July 1, 2026.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs expresses gratitude to those citizens who responsibly approached the licensing process and completed it on time.
Those who have not yet obtained their licenses are advised not to postpone the process until the last moment and to contact the State Traffic Safety Department in advance.
To obtain a license, in addition to a passport, driver's license, vehicle registration certificate, and a receipt for the payment of the state duty of 500 soms, seven additional documents must be submitted. Three of them can be processed online through the mobile application "Tündük".
The list of documents includes:
- certificate of registration with tax authorities;
- contract for mandatory civil liability insurance for passengers;
- certificate of criminal record or lack thereof.
Documents to be provided in person:
- employment contract with a legal entity (carrier, fleet);
- power of attorney for vehicle operation and/or lease agreement;
- act of passing the vehicle's technical inspection;
- medical certificate of the driver's health condition.
