In 2022, considering the income from parking, electric charging station services, and other parking solutions, the budget received 82 million 868 thousand soms.
The deputy raised the issue of the difference in tariffs at markets, where parking is charged at 50 soms instead of the established 25, to which Aseinov confirmed that some parking lots had been leased to private entrepreneurs. To eliminate the human factor, it is planned to implement a parking payment system via QR codes.
In the first half of the year, it is planned to install another thousand QR codes, and in the second half, an additional thousand, which will cover 80% of the city's parking areas.Aseinov reported that as part of the pilot project, QR codes have already been installed on five streets, including Turusbekov and Ibraimov. This year, it is planned to install such codes on Shopokov Street as well. Currently, 203 QR codes have already been installed, which has allowed revenues in these areas to increase from 600 thousand to 1.6 million soms.
Ergeshov emphasized that the improvement of Shopokov Street is a priority, as there are significant traffic jams and congestion observed there. He also inquired how the enterprise plans to deal with violators who do not pay for parking.
Aseinov responded that currently, such cases are recorded by cameras, and the video is transmitted to the Patrol Service Department. Additionally, a project is being developed to use drones for recording violations.
The deputy reminded that the city hall had previously promised to increase parking revenues to 200 million soms; however, these funds are not arriving due to a lack of control.
“I recommended a person to you who would like to lease the parking lots. He was ready to work honestly, but he was informed that contracts are already signed a year in advance. There are corrupt schemes in your system, and we need to conduct an audit, create a commission, and take this situation under control. It is also necessary to consider the possibility of raising tariffs at large markets to 50 soms,” Ergeshov stated.
The deputy director of the municipal enterprise replied that with full digitalization, revenues of more than 200 million soms are expected.
