Cardiac surgeon Nurlan Koshoybek uulu shared important information on "Birinchi Radio" about what to do in case of a heart attack before medical personnel arrive.

The doctor explained that there are various symptoms of cardiovascular diseases that require urgent medical attention. These include burning sensations, pain that may radiate to the arm, jaw, or area between the shoulder blades, as well as shortness of breath during physical activity. Even brief manifestations of these symptoms can signal serious problems, and it is essential to consult specialists.

According to Koshoybek uulu, before the ambulance arrives, one should stop any physical activity and remain calm. If there is aspirin in the house, it can be taken, but other medications should be avoided. It is also important to ensure access to oxygen and wait for the medical team to arrive.

The arriving doctors will conduct necessary examinations, including laboratory tests, an electrocardiogram, and an echocardiogram.

Nurlan Koshoybek uulu noted that in the case of a heart attack or damage to the coronary vessels, it is critically important not to miss the so-called golden hour, when it is possible to save the patient's life and improve their quality of life.

The doctor also emphasized that cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of mortality both globally and in Kyrgyzstan. Major risk factors include harmful habits, lack of physical activity, poor nutrition, excessive consumption of fast food, stress, high blood pressure, and elevated cholesterol levels, which lead to the premature development of cardiovascular problems. He added that more and more patients aged 35-40 are seeking medical help for serious heart conditions.
