Residents of the At-Bashinsky district, located in the Naryn region, have appealed to the authorities to grant their settlement the status of a border zone. This information was announced by the press service of the Ombudsman Institute.

This request was made during a meeting between local residents and the akiykatchi Jamileh Jamambaeva, who was conducting her trip titled "Caravan of Rights".

According to the residents, every time they go to the jailoo Ak-Sai, they face the necessity of obtaining permits.

“In Soviet times, our entire district was considered a border area, and there was a corresponding mark in our passports. We are asking for help to simplify our lives and ensure free movement in our homeland,” shared one elderly woman.

Additionally, during meetings with the Ombudsman, residents of the Naryn region raised numerous pressing issues, including labor migration, unemployment, problems with alimony and receiving insurance payments, as well as issues related to power outages, high-altitude allowances, increasing cases of domestic violence, and social protection for women.

The Ombudsman Institute noted that during the meetings, legal consultations were provided to 20 citizens, and 15 applications were submitted.

The At-Bashinsky district is located in the southern part of the Naryn region and shares a border with China.
