The first stop on his visit was the village of Toru-Aigyr, located in the Issyk-Kul district. Here, he examined the construction progress of a solar power plant being implemented by the company OshOO "Bishkek Solar." At specially organized stands, the head of the cabinet of ministers received information about various stages of implementation and the future of the project.
According to representatives of "Bishkek Solar," this solar power plant is characterized by high capacity and is already 80% complete. Initially, it was planned that the project would be completed in three years; however, thanks to effective work, the timeline has been reduced to two years.
It is projected that the annual output will be 600 million kilowatt-hours, and the total investment in the project will reach $280 million by February of next year. The first phase, with a capacity of 100 megawatts, is expected to start operating in August 2026, while the remaining phases are planned for launch in August 2027.
After this, Kasymaliev learned about a project being carried out by the Vietnamese company "Rocks Energy Global" in the village of Kyzyl-Oruk, also in the Issyk-Kul district.
The construction of the solar power plant "Issyk-Kul-1" began in September 2025. This ambitious project anticipates a total capacity of 1900 megawatts and a total investment of $1.4 billion. The station will generate 3.6 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually.
The project includes several phases: the first phase — 150 megawatts, the second — 450 megawatts, and the third — 1300 megawatts. The completion of the entire solar power plant "Issyk-Kul-1" is planned for 2028.
During his visit, Adylbek Kasymaliev noted the high activity of investors and the speed of implementation of the presented projects.
"It is encouraging to see such dynamics in project implementation in a short time. This is a clear example of successful cooperation between investors and the state. The cabinet of ministers is ready to create all necessary conditions and provide support for investors wishing to invest in the country's economy — whether in the fields of energy, infrastructure, or agriculture," he emphasized.
