In the Naryn region, particularly in the Ak-Tala district, new production equipment has been installed for the safflower oil filtration enterprise. This became possible thanks to the funding of a project by the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic, the enterprise is currently functioning successfully.
The new production line allows for the processing of up to 800 kilograms of safflower seeds daily, significantly increasing the volume of produced goods.
Previously, at the request of customers, the enterprise produced no more than 50 liters of oil per day. Since its opening in the fall of 2023, it processed 5 tons of seeds last year, and this year it has already exceeded 10 tons.
At the moment, the cost of one liter of safflower oil is 200 soms.
The implementation of this project creates new opportunities for local farmers and contributes to increasing added value through the processing of local agricultural products.
