On "Birinchi Radio," sanitary doctor Maria Kushubakova urged parents not to skimp on school uniforms. She emphasized that unified standards for school clothing were established in Kyrgyzstan in 2015.

According to Kushubakova, the uniform should correspond to a business and secular style, as the country is secular, and religious symbols or attributes of informal associations should not be displayed in clothing. Currently, in the doctor's opinion, many children prefer to wear ripped jeans and oversized hoodies, which are not suitable for educational institutions. Despite this, schools have implemented strict requirements for students' appearance, as both parents and children express a desire to wear more casual clothing.

She also noted that the choice of clothing has a huge impact on self-esteem, physical condition, and psychological health for both children and adults.

“Although the state does not force a specific style of clothing, it is necessary to adhere to rules such as 'white top, dark bottom,'” she added. “One of the main problems is the choice of fabric: parents often opt for cheaper products that contain a lot of synthetic materials. We always emphasize that clothing for children up to size 32 should be made from natural fabrics. Although such clothing may cost more, children's health should be a priority,” explained the sanitary doctor.

Kushubakova also pointed out that comfortable and breathable uniforms help children focus on their studies, while uncomfortable clothing can cause distractions, fatigue, and even allergic reactions. She stressed the importance of choosing clothing that fits properly and warned parents against buying items "to grow into," stating that it is unacceptable to save money on children.

Additionally, parliament member Dastan Bekeshev previously advocated for the abandonment of strict uniforms and suits in educational institutions. In response, the Ministry of Education supported the classic style of clothing, arguing that it fosters discipline and reduces social differences among students.
