GKNB: Teenagers in Kyrgyzstan are being recruited into terrorism through social networks
In Kyrgyzstan, a concerning trend is emerging: over the past six months, there have been numerous cases where teenagers are being recruited into radical movements through internet platforms and messengers. In some instances, minors have been detained at the stage of preparing for terrorist acts. Some of them were studying methods for creating explosive devices, while others were caught during the actual production of explosives.

Law enforcement officials emphasize that recruiters use cunning methods, starting the radicalization process with ordinary friendly communication. As a result, teenagers gradually lose touch with reality and become tools in the hands of criminals. In this regard, the GKNB advises parents to closely monitor their children's behavior. If a child begins to show sharp withdrawal, distances themselves from the family, demonstrates aggressive views, or engages in secret correspondence with unfamiliar people online, this may be a signal of danger. Important signs also include justifying violence and hostility towards close ones.

Special services emphasize that the prevention of such situations depends on open communication within the family and reasonable control over internet activity. It is important for parents not only to monitor their children's actions but also to explain the fallacies of radical ideas so that they can recognize manipulations. In case of suspicious signs, citizens are urged to promptly contact local GKNB units. The republic continues its active fight against the spread of dangerous ideologies, as forming immunity to extremism is a common task for both families and society.
