Today, March 2, an operational meeting was held in Bishkek under the leadership of Adilet Orozbekov, Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic. The meeting was organized in response to the escalating tensions in the Middle East, as reported by the press service of the President's Administration.

The agenda included issues of coordinating the actions of various state bodies in the context of the safety of Kyrgyz citizens located in combat zones. Orozbekov emphasized the need for urgent measures to ensure their safety and prepare for their return home. He also instructed to maintain constant monitoring of the situation in the region until it stabilizes.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was tasked with determining how many Kyrgyz citizens are in dangerous areas, as well as developing plans for their temporary evacuation and accommodation in safe places.

Furthermore, the importance of the continuous operation of hotlines, organized both in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in foreign representations, was emphasized for providing prompt assistance and consultation to citizens.

It should be noted that a new large-scale war has erupted in the Middle East: the USA and Israel have carried out massive attacks on Iran, which prompted retaliatory missile strikes from Tehran on Israel and American bases in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the UAE. A state of emergency has been declared in the region, airspace has been closed over several countries, and the largest airport in the world in Dubai has suspended its operations, indicating the onset of a full-scale conflict. These events have directly affected Kyrgyz citizens, as the closure of airspace and attacks on key airports have led to mass cancellations of flights from Bishkek, leaving hundreds of passengers unable to depart or return home.
