From February 23 to March 1, Kyrgyzstan registered 7,711 cases of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza. This information was reported by the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary Epidemiology, as conveyed by 24.kg.

Specialists noted that compared to the previous week, the number of sick individuals decreased by 15.4 percent.

Among the sick, 72.2 percent are children under 14 years old, which amounts to 5.6 thousand cases. Hospitalization was required for 9.4 percent of the sick, corresponding to 726 cases.
Epidemiological surveillance continues in Bishkek, Osh, and Tokmok, where there is close monitoring of severe acute respiratory infections and influenza-like illnesses.

Doctors strongly recommend that the population adhere to preventive measures, avoid crowded places, and refrain from self-medication, instead seeking help at local clinics at the first signs of illness.
