
Members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) expressed serious concern over the escalation of the situation in the Middle East, including military actions on the territory of Iran.
According to the organization, the SCO member states oppose the use of force and emphasize the importance of resolving existing conflicts exclusively through peaceful means via dialogue, mutual respect, and consideration of the legitimate interests of all parties, in accordance with international law and the UN Charter.
Furthermore, the SCO members highlight the necessity of preserving the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of Iran, calling on all parties to exercise restraint and avoid actions that could exacerbate the situation.
The organization strongly urges the United Nations and the UN Security Council to take immediate action to prevent threats to international peace and security, representatives of the SCO added.
SCO members also express their deep condolences to the families of the victims of the attack, expressing their solidarity and support for the government and people of Iran.
