Kyrgyzstan ratifies readmission agreement with Belarus
During a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, a draft law on the ratification of the readmission agreement with Belarus was approved. This document was signed on September 29, 2025, in Minsk.
The agreement is intended to simplify the process of returning citizens who are illegally present in Belarus, as well as to organize the transit of those who are subject to expulsion, in accordance with international standards.
Additionally, this agreement creates opportunities for more active cooperation between the competent authorities of Kyrgyzstan and Belarus in combating illegal migration.
The ratification of this document aligns with the "roadmap" for Kyrgyzstan's integration into the Single Economic Space, which includes Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia, and also expands the network of international readmission agreements concluded with Russia, Kazakhstan, and Switzerland.
Currently, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, there are 654 citizens of Kyrgyzstan in Belarus.
