



An important event took place in Bishkek, where a plan for joint activities between the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan was signed. The signing of the document involved Muradil Jumadilde uulu, the chairman of the Federation, and Sergius Glovackas, head of the ILO's Europe and Central Asia sector.
According to information from the Federation, this plan includes numerous initiatives aimed at developing social-labour relations, protecting workers' rights, as well as strengthening the role of trade unions and implementing the principles of decent work in Kyrgyzstan.
According to Muradil Jumadilde uulu, the new document opens significant opportunities for the further development of the trade union movement in the republic.
“Cooperation with the ILO is of paramount importance to us. The signed plan will help strengthen mechanisms for protecting the rights of workers, expand the capabilities of trade unions, and implement international practices in the field of labor,” he noted.
In his opinion, joint initiatives will contribute to the development of social justice and improve the protection of workers' rights.
Sergius Glovackas also emphasized the importance of partnership with Kyrgyzstan and expressed readiness to continue active cooperation.
“We highly value our cooperation with Kyrgyzstan. The signed plan focuses on promoting the principles of decent work, developing social dialogue, and supporting a sustainable labor market in the country,” he added.
During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues in the development of labor relations, the role of trade unions in modern society, and further prospects for cooperation.
The cooperation plan includes the exchange of international experience, the organization of training programs and seminars, the development of the capacity of trade union organizations, as well as support for social dialogue among various parties: the state, employers, and workers.
