According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, a criminal case has been initiated against the company "Kyrgyzneftegaz" related to corrupt actions.
Media outlets have released video recordings prepared by the State Tax Service, which reveal details of the investigation titled "Oil for Oneself: How 'Kyrgyzneftegaz' Was Ruined."
According to the collected data, employees of the enterprise abused their official positions and, acting in collusion with affiliated companies, organized illegal schemes for the sale and distribution of petroleum products (PP). These officials, aware that "Kyrgyzneftegaz" is a key state asset, acted contrary to their obligations, instead of ensuring the normal operation of the company in the interests of society and the state.
Against the backdrop of rising prices for petroleum products in the country, instead of taking measures to stabilize the situation, they entered into preliminary collusion with unidentified representatives of state bodies controlling this sector. This led to the creation of conditions that facilitated the activities of certain related companies, allowing them to derive illegal profits, including tax evasion and other mandatory payments.
The investigative service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has initiated a criminal case under Article 336 "Corruption" of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan. Currently, with the involvement of specialists from the State Tax Service, necessary investigative actions are being conducted aimed at a thorough and objective investigation of all circumstances of the case, as well as identifying and holding accountable those responsible.
