The head of the Internal Affairs Department of Naryn Region, Police Colonel Zholboldu Kochkonov, held an outreach meeting with residents of Jumgal District.

As reported by Turmush correspondent, the majority of the participants in the meeting were employees of state and municipal institutions, as well as representatives from the education sector and teachers.

At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the regional department presented a report on the current state of crime and law enforcement in the region. The main goal of the event was to establish a direct dialogue between law enforcement agencies and the population, as well as to identify any grievances regarding the work of the police.

During the "question-answer" session, residents raised various issues concerning safety and law and order.

Among the main concerns were complaints about the lack of video cameras and insufficient road signs on the alternative North-South highway, which, according to citizens, leads to an increase in the number of traffic accidents.

Villagers also expressed their concern about the speeding of trucks transporting coal and called for stricter enforcement of speed limits.

Measures to combat cattle theft were also discussed. Some participants expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of the investigators' work and the progress in criminal investigations.

Kochkonov instructed the heads of the relevant departments to address the identified issues. During the meeting, official statements from citizens were also accepted. The leadership of the Internal Affairs Department noted that the most important problems would be prioritized for resolution at the local level.
