The Ministry of Labor reminded about working and non-working days in 2026

Some holidays will not be non-working days


The Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration has announced the working and non-working days in 2026.

According to the production calendar, certain holidays this year will not be considered non-working days.

The following holiday dates have been approved:

- January 1 — New Year;

- February 23 — Defender of the Fatherland Day;

- March 8 — International Women's Day;

- March 21 — People's Holiday Nooruz;

- April 7 — Day of the People's April Revolution;

- May 1 — Labor Day;

- May 5 — Constitution Day of the Kyrgyz Republic;

- May 9 — Victory Day;

- August 31 — Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic;

- November 7 and 8 — Days of History and Memory of Ancestors.

The non-working holidays will be:

- from January 1 to 12 — New Year holidays (extended by government decree);

- March 8 — International Women's Day;

- March 21 — People's Holiday Nooruz;

- from May 1 to 8 — May holidays (including Constitution Day);

- May 5 — Constitution Day of the Kyrgyz Republic;

- May 9 — Victory Day;

- August 31 — Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic;

Holidays Orozо Ait and Kurman Ait, the dates of which are determined by the lunar calendar, as well as Christmas, which is celebrated on January 7, are also considered non-working.

Shortened working days before the holidays: March 20, April 30, and December 31.

A shortened working day will also be on February 23 and April 7.
