The deputy commented on the information circulating on social media
Eldar Sulaymanov, a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, responded to rumors actively circulating on social media in his official statement on Instagram. He emphasized that the situation is personal and related to a long-standing family conflict.
In his opinion, the accusations that have emerged are one-sided and require careful legal assessment. Sulaymanov urged not to make hasty conclusions without knowing all the nuances of the situation and stressed that he does not intend to publicly discuss the other side of the conflict.
“At the moment, there is no legal court decision confirming my guilt,” his statement reads.
The deputy also expressed his readiness for an objective and fair investigation and appealed to the public and journalists to refrain from premature conclusions until a final decision is made by the competent authorities.
Meanwhile, his ex-wife Asel Azamatova previously posted on social media, accusing Eldar Sulaymanov of violence and reporting the inaction of the police regarding her appeals. On the same day, she was summoned to the Bishkek City Police Department to clarify the details of her complaint and identify the officers who did not take action. She also filed an official complaint against her ex-husband.
Sultan Makilov, head of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, told Vesti.kg that due to parliamentary immunity, Eldar Sulaymanov cannot be held accountable without prior permission. Investigative authorities must gather the necessary materials and submit them to the prosecutor's office, which must then appeal to the Jogorku Kenesh for permission to take action against the deputy.
