Sadyr Japarov held a meeting with a U.S. delegation and representatives of American businesses
The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, met with Sergio Gor, the U.S. Special Envoy for South and Central Asia, as well as representatives of American companies. The meeting took place at the "Yntymak Ordo" residence, as reported by the president's press service.
Japarov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan adheres to a multi-vector foreign policy and highly values cooperation with the United States, adding that the republic is open to investments and does not differentiate between businesses based on their origin.
The president noted that this delegation is the largest in the history of Kyrgyz-American relations and highlighted the significance of the American-Kyrgyz Business Council. He expressed Kyrgyzstan's readiness to be a reliable and stable partner for American businesses in the region.
According to the president, the economic situation in the country shows steady growth, and large projects in infrastructure, energy, and industry are being implemented. The main priorities remain improving the investment climate, tax incentives, simplifying business registration, and reducing administrative pressure.
Additionally, Japarov reminded that in 2025, the agency Standard & Poor’s Global Ratings assigned Kyrgyzstan a sovereign credit rating of B+ with a "Stable" outlook, which indicates an increase in trust from international investors.
Sergio Gor, for his part, highlighted that the U.S. is significantly increasing its focus on South and Central Asia. He noted that the Donald Trump administration sees potential in this region for creating sustainable and mutually beneficial economic relations.
The ambassador also emphasized the U.S. interest in expanding investment cooperation and stated the American side's readiness to use additional tools to support businesses. He noted that this meeting is a starting point for further joint interaction.
The delegation included representatives from major American companies such as Boeing, Coca-Cola Company, Franklin Templeton, GE Healthcare, Mooney Group, as well as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the American-Kyrgyz Business Council.
As a result of the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in deepening economic dialogue between Kyrgyzstan and the U.S., as well as in developing practical cooperation between government structures and businesses.
