Galina Baiterek, who previously served as the press secretary of the President of Kyrgyzstan, now heads the publishing house "Kyrgyz Tusu." This information has been officially confirmed by the president's administration.

Before her appointment to the new position, she worked as the head of the department of education, science, culture, sports, and youth in the president's administration.

The publishing house "Kyrgyz Tusu" includes two state newspapers: "Slovo Kyrgyzstana" and "Kyrgyz Tusu."

Galina Jumabekovna Baiterek was born in the village of Rovnom in the Panfilov district of Chui region on July 19, 1971.

In 1996, she graduated from the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn, earning a degree in "Russian Philology."

From 1994 to 2001, she worked at the children's studio "Balastan" in various roles including director, editor, and host, creating many popular children's programs such as "Sami s usami" and "Khotu vse znat."

From 2002 to 2004, she was a reviewer at the TPO "Dnevnoy blok teleperedach" of KTR and hosted the analytical program "Tema dnya."

From 2004 to 2006, Baiterek worked as a director for the program "Arnoo kontserti" at the advertising and commercial agency KTR.

In the following two years, she served as an editor in the main editorial office of socio-economic and innovative programs, hosting the broadcasts "Ala-Too plyus," "Narod khochet znat," and "Aktsent."

From 2009 to 2010, she was a reviewer at TRK "ElTR" and also hosted the analytical program "Itogi nedeli."

From 2010 to 2015, Galina Baiterek worked as a political reviewer at KTRK, where she hosted the programs "Narod khochet znat" and "TsIK soobshchaet," as well as covering presidential elections and elections to the Jogorku Kenesh. She was also the author and host of the talk show "Svobodny mikrofon" and the presidential program "Strategiya-2040."

In October 2020, Baiterek was appointed press secretary of the President of Kyrgyzstan, and in May 2021, she became the head of the department of education, science, culture, sports, and youth.
