Changed his mind: the deputy thanked the president for the decision on rights
The parliamentarian noted that previously there was an active discussion in society about an initiative that required 10 months of training to obtain a driver's license. This proposal was voiced by the head of the president's office, Kanibek Tumanbaev, and caused dissatisfaction among citizens.
As a result, a new option was proposed: the training period was reduced to four months, after which candidates can take the exam. Upon successfully passing the exam, they are issued a temporary driver's license valid for one year.
Sulaymanov emphasized that the changes were positively received by drivers.
“I want to thank our president. The issue of driver training and the duration of education has caused a lot of debate. Today, all drivers express their gratitude for the opportunity to study for just four months, after which they are allowed to take the exam. A one-year probationary period is a reasonable decision, as during this time the driver can demonstrate their driving skills and obtain a full license,” the deputy noted.
It is worth reminding that at the meeting on February 4, Kunduzbek Sulaymanov spoke out about the reform that required 10 months of training to obtain a driver's license.
The parliamentarian clarified that his previous statement about the excessively long training period was based not on his personal opinion, but on the opinion of voters.
“All deputies represent not only their views but also the opinion of the people. We must convey this opinion to the authorities. It is not worth exacerbating citizens' dissatisfaction. Those who propose such changes are leading us in the wrong direction. If the people were against correct initiatives, we would also explain to them that they are wrong,” the deputy added.
