Parliamentary hearings were held in the Jogorku Kenesh, organized by the Committee on Labor, Health, Women’s Affairs, and Social Issues, dedicated to the draft law "On Labor Protection." This information was reported by the press service of the legislative body.
Representatives from various government structures, local communities, as well as representatives from non-governmental organizations and civil society participated in the event.
Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Security, and Migration Kamchybek Dosmatov presented the main provisions of the draft law. He noted that the aim of the document is to create safe and healthy working conditions, as well as to reduce the number of accidents and occupational diseases. Additionally, it is planned to enhance the effectiveness of the labor protection system at both the enterprise and state levels.
Gulsunkhan Junushalieva, the committee chair, raised important issues regarding the resolution of labor disputes through the courts and the protection of personal data within electronic citizen accounting systems. In response, the speaker mentioned the development of a new electronic system "Zhumush.gov," which will provide greater protection for personal information.
Deputy Ulukbek Karybek uulu emphasized the need to enhance the qualifications of specialists in both public and private institutions. Toktobubu Ashymbaeva suggested activating the work of labor inspectors for more effective protection of workers' rights and quick response to violations.
Discussion participants, including representatives from government bodies, civil society, and trade unions, stressed the importance of clearly defining the authorized structures responsible for monitoring compliance with the new legislation.
During the hearings, the topic of forming a culture of labor protection, improving statistics on workplace injuries, strengthening preventive measures, and enhancing internal control mechanisms in enterprises was also addressed.
