At a meeting with residents and representatives of city services, Matkalikov shared his plans for the future and noted that he is deeply familiar with the region, having lived in Manas for over 15 years.
He identified the development of tourism and the processing industry, as well as the effective use of the region's natural resources, as one of his key tasks.
“We have unique nature, and we must focus on the production of environmentally friendly products and the development of processing. Tourism will be the engine of economic growth,” emphasized the new mayor.
He also noted that the country's leadership is focused on implementing innovative approaches to management, and local teams must support these changes.
Matkalikov sees potential in the production of local non-alcoholic beverages, the development of small processing businesses, and creating conditions to attract domestic tourist flows.
“Strengthening tourism and processing will significantly accelerate the economic growth of the area,” he added.
In addition, the new mayor expressed his intention to work on improving infrastructure, creating new jobs, and enhancing the quality of services for the residents of Manas.
