President Sadyr Japarov has signed a decree introducing a new monthly benefit for children under three years old, as reported by the press service of the head of state.
Starting July 1, 2026, payments will begin for a benefit called "Bala Irysy," which will be provided to all children in the specified age category, regardless of their families' financial situation. The amount of the benefit will be 1200 soms per month.
As clarified by the presidential administration, this decision was made in response to numerous appeals from citizens and aims to support families during one of the most critical periods of a child's growth and development.
According to Japarov, he regularly receives complaints about the complicated bureaucratic procedures that accompany the process of obtaining state benefits.
Many mothers face refusals and prolonged checks, despite needing assistance from the state, the president added.
He emphasized that special attention should be given to families with young children, given that key physical and intellectual abilities are formed during the early years of life.
In this regard, the president instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to develop an appropriate mechanism for implementing the "Bala Irysy" benefit.
Japarov also noted that state support should cover all children, even if there is a risk of some abuses.
In his opinion, it is better to provide benefits to those who are not in urgent need than to leave even one truly needy child without assistance.
He stated that the measures taken are aimed at ensuring that every child in the country has access to support.
The new social support measure is expected to help reduce the level of child poverty and provide necessary assistance to families with young children.
According to data from the National Statistical Committee, there are about 445,000 children under the age of three living in Kyrgyzstan.
