UNICEF welcomed the introduction of the 'Bala Yrysy' allowance by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The UNICEF organization expressed its approval regarding the decree of the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, which introduces a single monthly allowance "Bala Yrysy" for all children under three years old. This announcement was published on the official resources of the organization.

UNICEF noted that this decision demonstrates Kyrgyzstan's strong commitment to protecting children's rights and represents a significant step in supporting the early development of young children.

According to UNICEF data, expanding social support for young children is one of the most effective methods of combating child poverty and creating optimal conditions for every child from the very beginning of life.

Furthermore, the organization reminded that within the framework of the National Development Program of Kyrgyzstan until 2030, there are plans to reduce the level of child poverty from 33.1% to 25%, expand children's access to social protection measures, improve primary healthcare, and develop the preschool education system.

The introduction of the "Bala Yrysy" allowance is seen as an important step towards achieving these goals and improving the system for protecting children's rights in the country.

UNICEF emphasized that according to international experience, every dollar invested in early childhood can yield up to 13 dollars through improved educational outcomes, better health, increased productivity, and reduced inequality.

The organization also expressed gratitude to the government of Kyrgyzstan for its attention to issues supporting children and families, confirming its readiness for further cooperation with national partners in implementing the "Bala Yrysy" program and developing the social protection system for children.
