The Head of Kazakhstan made an important statement
In the studio of "Qazmedia Ortalygy," the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, addressed the public after the announcement of the exit polls related to the republican referendum. This statement was published on the official website of Akorda.
– We have witnessed an event that will become historic for our country. The citizens of Kazakhstan actively participated in the referendum, supporting constitutional changes. They made a choice in favor of the future of our Motherland. The recently announced results of the exit polls show that Kazakhstan has taken an important step towards a new Constitution. This voting has predetermined the future of the country and will leave a mark in world history as a symbol of patriotism. Now, March 15 will be celebrated as Constitution Day, which will become one of the main holidays. Our compatriots voted for the renewal and modernization of their country. This is a collective achievement, and I sincerely congratulate you on this important event! – emphasized the president.
Tokayev noted that the referendum was conducted at a high level, adhering to all necessary norms and standards. Observers, both local and international, confirmed the legality of the process.
– The final results will be announced by the Central Commission for the Referendum in due course. However, it is already clear that the residents of Kazakhstan demonstrated unity, solidarity, and patriotism. The majority chose the path of Progress, Justice, Law, and Purity. This is a good path. This Constitution of the people will lead to new achievements. I thank everyone who came to vote and expressed their civic position. We have shown the whole world our political culture. Where there is unity, there is life and prosperity! For Kazakhstan to become advanced and competitive, we need to maintain peace, show patience, creativity, and hard work, – noted the president.
The head of state emphasized that the Constitution approved by the people will become an important milestone in the development of Kazakhstan.
– The new Constitution is the foundation of Independence and Sovereignty. It is the fundamental law that guarantees the rights and freedoms of citizens. We have taken an important step towards creating a just society where law and order are upheld, and responsibility and creativity become the norm. Today we have opened a new chapter in the history of our country. A great deal of work lies ahead, and I am confident that our people support profound transformations. By joining our efforts, we will leave a Progressive and Advanced Kazakhstan for future generations. I want to express special gratitude to the youth who actively participated in the referendum.
