
The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, has signed a law regarding the ratification of an agreement with the Russian Federation for the construction of a new campus for the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B.N. Yeltsin. This information was provided by the president's press service.
This document was approved by the Jogorku Kenesh on March 18, 2026.
The agreement aims to create a modern campus capable of accommodating 15 thousand students. As part of the project, educational, scientific, and social infrastructures will be developed, and the campus will be equipped with modern facilities.
The parties have agreed on joint work at all stages of the project implementation – from design and financing to construction and commissioning of the buildings.
The implementation of this project is expected to lead to an improvement in the quality of higher education and scientific activities, as well as to strengthen humanitarian ties between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
The agreement was signed in Bishkek on November 26, 2025.
