Sadyr Japarov signed a law on the construction of a campus for KRSU for 15,000 students

The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, has signed a law ratifying the agreement between the governments of Kyrgyzstan and Russia regarding the construction of the campus of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B.N. Yeltsin.

This document was approved by the Jogorku Kenesh on March 18, 2026.

The agreement aims to create a modern educational, scientific, and social environment within the KRSU, with a planned capacity of up to 15,000 students.

It also stipulates aspects of design, financing, construction, technical supervision, and the commissioning of facilities.

The implementation of this project is intended to improve the quality of higher education, develop scientific activities, and strengthen humanitarian ties between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
