Askhat Alagozov, the press secretary of the president, commented on the controversial statement made by Russian television host Vladimir Solovyov. On the air of a state channel, he suggested considering the possibility of military intervention in the affairs of Armenia and the Central Asian republics to keep them within Russia's "sphere of influence."

Alagozov noted: "Statements of this kind should be perceived as empty and unserious, which often happens during Solovyov's lengthy broadcasts on various topics."

Discussing the possible consequences of his words, the press secretary pointed out that since Solovyov is a journalist, his statements should be addressed by representatives of the journalistic community or other individuals. Otherwise, if such words came from a deputy or a minister, a response would be provided by the appropriate authorities. There is known to be a proposal from one of the deputies to declare Solovyov a persona non grata, and there is a special procedure for this. "Let's see how this issue will be addressed," added Alagozov.

He also emphasized that relations between Russia and Kyrgyzstan, as well as with the Central Asian states, are at a high level, which is confirmed by mutual visits and cooperation within international organizations such as the CIS, EAEU, and SCO.

For this reason, any such assumptions are unfounded.

In conclusion, Alagozov expressed hope that the host's management would take the necessary measures, as his "ambiguous statements, which create tension in interethnic relations," cause misunderstandings among the citizens of neighboring countries.
