The updated rules for the distribution of tariff quotas for the import of various types of meat have been approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan. This decision is aimed at aligning national legislation with the requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union and improving transparency in procedures.

The introduced norms detail the procedure for distributing quotas, take into account import volumes, and establish priorities for local processing enterprises. The basis for this document was the decision of the EEC Board No. 30 dated April 21, 2015, which defines the list of goods subject to tariff quotas.

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has been instructed to notify the Eurasian Economic Commission about the introduction of new rules in order to update the register of authorized bodies of the EAEU countries.

With the adoption of this resolution, previously effective documents lose their validity:
• Government Resolution No. 889 dated December 29, 2015;
• Resolution No. 252 dated May 23, 2018, which amended the previous one.

The new rules will come into effect after official publication and will be valid from January 1 to December 31, 2026.
