
In Bishkek, police officers detained a suspect for hooliganism, as reported by the press service of the Lenin District Department of Internal Affairs.
According to police information, on January 17, 2026, at about 7:05 AM, a report was received at the Lenin District Internal Affairs Office from one of the hospitals that a citizen A.K., born in 1993, had been hospitalized with a knife wound. An investigative group was dispatched to the scene.
Upon investigation, it was found that the man had sustained a stab wound to the left shoulder.
During the investigation, it was established that the incident occurred at a café on Selsovetskaya Street. Citizen A.K. witnessed an unknown man behaving aggressively towards his wife and attempted to intervene. In response, the attacker got into a conflict with him and inflicted two knife wounds to the shoulder area before fleeing the scene.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under the signs of a crime specified in paragraph 3 of part 2 of article 280 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Necessary examinations have been appointed.
Following hot on the trail, the suspect was identified and detained — citizen A.A., born in 2001. He was taken to the Investigative Service and placed in a temporary detention facility.
Currently, the pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
