Deputy Bolot Saginayev raised the issue of the condition of the sports facility, addressing the director of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture, and Sports, Kazbek Moldazhiyev. He noted that while many sports facilities are being updated, the Sports Palace remains in extremely unsatisfactory condition.
“We have an Olympic-standard swimming pool at our disposal. It needs to be repaired, and it is also necessary to create a football field and open a bathhouse... The Palace could become financially independent,” the parliament member added.
The head of the relevant ministry confirmed that Sadyr Japarov had issued an order for the repair and reconstruction of the Sports Palace, while its status will remain unchanged. The mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, has been tasked with finding funding for the implementation of this project.
